Mostaque Ahmed the owner of Raj Bari learnt the restaurant trade from the popular Noorjahan restaurant in Bina Gardens, South Kensington, London. The first Noorjahan branch was opened on Drummond st, Euston, London by Mr.Ahmed Mognu (Miah)- (Father of Mostaque), and his brother Mr.Ahmed Ismail Miah. It was first opened back in the 1950s and at the time there were only a few

Indian restaurants in London. One of them being Noorjahan. After lots of great success they opened up a second branch in South Kensington, where Mostaque Ahmed learnt the vital experience. Today the restaurant is still running and has been handed over to a family member, succeeding at the highest level after winning many awards and receiving high profile celebrities such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie  and Frank Lampard.
